Aqa Moula TUS arrived in Toronto Canada from Detroit,
Michigan(USA)
today on Monday, 27th Rabi Ul awwal, 18 June 2001.
Aqa Moula TUS arrived by a small chartered Jet plane at 6:52pm at the Buttonville airport
in the North of Toronto city very close to our masjid.
Mumineen of Toronto and sorrounding cities and states had gathered in hundreds to welcome
their Moula TUS to Canada.
Upon completion of the immigration formalities in the plane, Moula TUs disembarked from
the plane to the cries from Mumineen who had waited for quite some time in the green
outside the airport for the deedar of Aqa Moula TUS.
Shahzada Ali waqar Shahzada Ammar bhaisaheb Jamaluddin DM led Aqa Moula TUS to a stage
built to give maximum deedar sharaf to mumineen.
Aqa Moula TUS gave salaami and sharaf of deedar to the mumineen and Muminaat and children
and then proceeded to the meeting room where dignitaries from various governments had been
waiting to receive and meet with Aqa MOULA TUS.
From the Canadian Government, Hon Derek Lee, M.P-Scarborough-Rouge and Parliamentary
secretary to the Government House Leader was present to receive Aqa Moula TUS. Also,
present were Mr. C.M. Bhandari- Consulate General of India, Mr. Iftikhar Arian - Consulate
General of Pakistan, Mr. Ali Raza - President of the Islamic Shia Isna Ashari
Organisation, Mr. Jim Hutchinson- President of the Richmond Hill District of Scouts who
had come to meet Aqa Moula TUS.
Hon Derek Lee read a message to Aqa Moula TUS on behalf of the Government of Canada and
then welcomed Aqa Moula TUS. Shahzada Ammar bhaisaheb DM read a speech on behalf of Aqa
Moula TUS thanking the dignitaries who had come to receive Aqa Moula TUS.
Aqa Moula TUS spoke in English with Hon. Derek Lee asking him about the climate of Toronto
and also telling him that Canada was a very beautiful country with "lots of
lakes".
Moula TUS then departed form the airport towards the waiting car for the Qiyaam Gaah where
Moula TUS will stay during the visit to Toronto.
