The fifth waaz heralds the zikr of Panjatan Paak (s.a.) beginning with Rasulallah (s.a.). Molana-l-minaam's (tus) address was, "Mumineen ni jamaat, Muslimeen ni jamaat," after which Molana recited the Quranic aayat in which Allah t`aala states that Rasulallah has been sent as rahmat for all.
For Mumineen there is an exclusive proximity to this rahmat for we are the leaves of the tree that is Rasulallah. Whilst the leaves are attached to the tree they are part of the tree and they will remain alive. If they fall from the tree then they are no longer part of the tree and are now just rubbish more suited to burning.
Rasulallah's Shariah is a code of life - qaanun, a law and order; mankind cannot live without law and order. Wild animals, lions and the like can survive without law and order, a lion can roam the jungle killing when it feels like. If man were to do the same in the cities how many murders would take place every day?
The law and order of the Shariah is the ultimate form - encapsulating all the codes found in previous shariahs. Rasulallah, like an accomplished doctor, provides the exact prescription needed for the patient - the right medicine in exactly the right quantity so that the patient heals much faster. This Shariah has been prescribed for use for all time.
Aqamola spoke at length about nikah and particularly with regards to the rights of the daughter. In Islam a nikah can only take place when there is a 'wali' for the bride. The wali (a man usually the father) has been made compulsory to protect the bride from being duped in any way or taken advantage of. In the event that the wali (eg the father) has misgivings about his daughter 's choice of husband he can point out these misgivings and give her time to think it over. If, after this, she still wishes to marry that boy then he should not try to prevent it by refusing to perform the nikah. In such instances the girl has recourse to the qadi (aamil) who should try and convince the parent(s) (or the girl) but, if all has failed, he can then bring in the next wali. If that wali refuses he can bring in the next or the next. If they all refuse then the girl's wali is the qadi.
Just as a man is human so too is a woman. Some people say that women are inferior to men but women have many facets that men do not have. Without women there would be no children, a man only provides the nutfah - it is the woman that carries the child to term. Men should care for their women - not treat them as cooks and cleaners. A strong woman may bear with being abused but in her heart she will be affected and this in turn will lead to ill health. She should be treated like perfume; because of her is the propagation of our race.
The Ahle Bayt are like the ark (safina) of Nuh nabi (a.s.) - those that embark it shall survive and those that do not will drown. This ark may
encounter mountainous waves but it will transcend them. Similarly, in the ship of Dawat such waves of disorder and tumult will be encountered but we should sit at ease. When the ship is encountering turbulence there is even more need to sit at ease. Many people will have seen the tumult of previous years, or heard of it, in this day and age however the ocean on which the ship of Dawat sails is more like a lake.
Today's waaz included the shahadat of Molana Aliakber (a.s.), "hamshakle payambar" (who resembled Rasulallah). Molana Husain did not initially give raza saying that when he wished to see Rasulallah he would look at Aliakber.
Molana Aliakber seized upon this and asked that he be given raza because of his resemblance - taking the intercession of Rasulallah. Imam Husain could no longer refuse, his beard became drenched with tears as he gave raza and Molana Aliakber went into battle.
As he did so he recited, " I am Ali; son of Husain the son of Ali - Upon oath of Baytullah we are worthier of the Nabi".
"I will strike you with the sword, protecting against my father, Upon oath of Allah we will not allow the impure to rule over us."
Molana Aliakber quenched his thirst by Imam Husain's tongue - the waters of Howze Kausar - and was slain with the ring of prophethood in his mouth.
The waaz mubarak had detailed descriptions of the histories of Adam, Nuh, Ibrahim, Musa and Eesa nabi (a.s.). For example, Molana spoke of how Eesa nabi's disciples are said to have been clothes washers or dyers or fishermen but this is not the case. They cleansed people from sin with knowledge, applied the colour of faith and 'fished' souls to bring them to the way of haq. Molana also spoke of the Eesa's last night and his death and resurrection. The disciples then went to the four corners of the earth to spread his message. Just as Eesa nabi was to be seen everywhere after his shahadat, Husain was to be seen everywhere after his.
Today the Chief Minister of Maharashtra and other leading politicians attended the waaz to pay their respects to Molana and even sat briefly
before him. Aqamola expressed his joy at their coming and thanked them for their efforts noting that even exams (SSC) had been rearranged to cater for Aashura day. Molana prayed for the upliftment of the country, saying that there had been great progress but much more was needed when compared to other nations. Molana also urged that India's secular nature be preserved and peoples of all faiths live together peacefully.
May Allah t`aala preserve Aqamola - for the preservation of peace of mind and body - ta qiyamat.
Ameen.
Yesterday - in the 4th Waaz, Aqamola prayed for the barakat of Mumineen. So much barakat that others envy us - barakat that is Aqamola's own barakat; "One part for myself and the other sixty-nine parts for you."
