Rep. Holt also said a few words  on the occasion. Rep. Holt said that "as part of a very diverse region, state and country, his role is to look over the material and secular lives of the people. It is important to have those things in place to help balance everyone's lives with the spiritual. This mosque will be the center of that special community, building the complete human being".

Aqa Maula TUS accepted the gifts and thanked the two officials for their warm welcome. Maula TUS then presented the ceremonial shawls to Rep. Holt and the Mayor of East Brunswick.
