Aqa Moula TUS reached the Masjid at around 10 45 am. Thousands of Mumineen had gathered from all over North America and the world to witness the Opening of the First Dawoodi Bohra Masjid in the State of New Jersey. Along with
Mumineen and Jamaat Officials, Moula TUS was greeted by two government
officials from the State of New Jersey. One was the Mayor of East
Brunswick, Mr. William Neary
and New Jersey Congressman,
Rep. Rush Holt, (NJ-12th).
They were very pleased to receive Aqa Moula TUS. Rep. Holt also said a few words on the occasion. Rep. Holt said that "as part of a very diverse region, state and country, his role is to look over the material and secular lives of the people. It is important to have those things in place to help balance everyone's lives with the spiritual. This mosque will be the center of that special community, building the complete human being". Aqa Maula TUS accepted the gifts and thanked the two officials for their warm welcome. Maula TUS then presented the ceremonial shawls to Rep. Holt and the Mayor of East Brunswick. With Rep. Holt
and the Mayor looking on, Aqa Maula TUS performed the opening of the New
Masjid in New Jersey.
Moula TUS then performed Waqaf of the Masjid naming it Zainy Masjid,
saying that from today there will be Maatam of Imam Husain AS in this
Masjid. Moula TUS said that the Masjid was very beautifully constructed
and very unique. |
