Dear Mumineen
Baad salaam ul Jameel
18th August 2006 was a mubarak day for mumineen of Dar us salaam, being
both Yawmul Jumoa and the day Aqa Maula (TUS) set His Qudume Maimoon in
Dar us salaam, the ninth time over a span of eight years. This was Aqa
Maula’s (TUS) first safar outside Mumbai since regaining “shifa e kulli”
(full recovery).
Aqa Maula’s (TUS) flight (Air India) landed at Dar us salaam’s
J.K.Nyerere International Airport at 14:42 local time (12:42 GMT). As a
measure of esteem in which Air India holds Aqa Maula (TUS), the flight’s
scheduled departure from Mumbai was delayed by two and half hours and
rerouted from Mumbai/Nairobi/Dsm to Mumbai/Dsm/Nairobi in order not to
inconvenience Maula during the normal one hour stop over in Nairobi.
Aqa Maula (TUS) was received as a state guest by the Acting Foreign
Minister, Hon. Seiffu Iddi and other government dignitaries. From the
airport Aqa Maula’s motorcade sped off with a police outrider, siren
wailing to Annadil Burhani Sports ground where thousands of mumineen had
gathered for the deedar mubarak of their shafiq Bawa saheb (TUS).
On arrival at Annadil Burhani, Aqa Maula’s sawari was led to the Qasr
Mubarak by the Prisons Brass Band and Al-Madressa Band playing marching
tunes, passing between Mumineen standing on either side of the cordoned
path. Mumineen unable to contain themselves, with tears welling in their
eyes chanted Maula Maula and Marhaba Maula as they jostled to catch a
glimpse of the Noorani chehra of their beloved Maula. The scout’s
African cultural troupe joined the sawari on the final stretch to the
Qasr Mubarak.
During the guftagu at Qasr Mubarak with the Hon. Minister, Aqa Maula
(TUS) appeared to be in khush mizaaj. The minister expressed his desire
for Aqa Maula (TUS) to perform Ashara Mubaraka in Tanzania. He also
conveyed His Excellency President Jakaya Kikwete’s desire to meet Aqa
Maula (TUS) at a convenient time.
After the Minister’s departure, the sharbat and wadhawanu rasm was
performed by Shahzada Malik ul Ashtar Bhai Saheb Shujauddin Saheb (DM).
Finally Aqa Maula (TUS) proceeded to the first floor window of Qasr
Mubarak to give sharaf of “Salami” and deedar mubarak to the thousands
of mumineen who had gathered below in the Annadil Burhani grounds.
Inshallah Rasme Saifi nikah majlis will start at 4:00 pm. tomorrow.
May Allah Subhanahu grant Aqa Maula (TUS) sehat aafiyat malabis zafiya
till yawme Qayamat – Ameen.
