Baad Salaam,

From the air-port Aqa Maula (TUS)'s motorcade left in a police escort to his qiyamgah
at Abidbhai Jafferji's residence in Mbweni area. The istiqbal function was held in a
vacant plot outside the residence, where close to 2,000 Mumineen had been seated under a shamiyana. The police band was also at hand to colour the occasion.

Aqa Maula (TUS) alighted from his car and was jalwa afroz in a covered purple hued stage decorated with Zanzibar spices. Mumineen unable to contain themselves and with tears welling in their eyes, chanted Maula Maula Maula as they jostled to catch a glimpse of the noorani chehra and Salami of their beloved Maula. Also on stage, were Shahzada sahebs, the Indian and Chinese counsellors, the Mayor, Regional Commissioner, Mufti and  Kazi of Zanzibar.

The Istiqbal function started with a traditional cultural performance followed by the
tilawat e Quran e Majid, bouquet presentation and the customary sharbat / wadhawanu rasam performed by Shahzada Ali Waqar Qusai Bhaisaheb Vajihuddin Saheb. There were warm welcome speeches made by Shk. Taherbhai (a Zanzibari from the Diaspora), the Indian Counsellor and the chief Kadhi.

Afterwards, Aqa Maula TUS delivered Kalemaat Nooraniyah in which he prayed for the peace and prosperity of Zanzibar and its people.
Aqa Maula TUS also called on Mumineen to be loyal citizens.

The function ended with vazifatus shukur and singing of the Tanzanian national anthem.

Aqa Maula left for his qiyamgah borne on a miyana where Maula TUS performed the iftitah of
Abidbhai's new residence.
