On 18th of August, Aqa Maula paid a courtesy call on the President of Zanzibar, His Excellency Amani Abeid Karume at the State House in Zanzibar . Maula TUS was accompanied by two Shahzada Sahebs, Ayanul Jamaat and prominent Mumineen business persons.

On arrival the President was at the entrance and received Aqa Maula TUS warmly. Aqa Maula TUS greeted the President ASSALAAM ALAYKUM KAIF HALEK. During the guftagu, conversing in English, Aqa Maula TUS expressed his joy to be back in Zanzibar after thirteen years. He said he liked Zanzibar and its people and was impressed by the changes he had seen. He inquired about the population, the housing situation, the agricultural activities and the use of irrigation in Zanzibar. Aqa Maula TUS asked the President if he had visited India, extending an invitation for him to do so.

Aqa Maula TUS bestowed tashrif of the customary shawl, alaamat sharifa, a tasbih and a golden safinu. When presenting the alaamat sharifa Maula TUS informed the President that the Bismillah was hand written by his late father Aqa Syedna Taher Saifuddin Saheb (RA). In turn, the President gave Aqa Maula (TUS) a small carved brass studded wooden door (Zanzibar door). The symbolic door signified an open door policy towards Aqa Maula (TUS) and his followers Mumineen.

Finally on behalf of Aqa Maula TUS , Shahzada Aliwaqar Qusai Bhai Saheb Vajihuddin (DM) read a message of thanks for the warm welcome extended by the Government of Zanzibar. Aqa Maula TUS donated a handsome sum to the President for supporting an educational institution. At the end of the meeting which lasted thirty minutes, the President accompanied Aqa Maula TUS back to his car.

May Allah Subhanahu grant Aqa Maula (TUS) sehat aafiyat malabis fakhera till yawme Qayamat – Ameen.
