Islam - An Absolute Savior
- It is indeed an awful fact that modern society cares too much for the flesh
while leaving the spirit to take care of itself. This conflict is derived
principally from the desire of meeting the demand of flesh out of economic
consideration, while least attention is focused on meeting the needs of
spirit. In other words, fulfilling the worldly desires has a complete
domination over nurturing the soul, which will provide the reward in the
eternal world.
- The present day lust for wealth, status, dignity and power have penetrated
so much in the society that purpose of the creation has been conveniently
ignored and emphasis is given to material values. In this rat race, the
noble profession such as teaching, medicine and law, which once upheld the
monetary consideration, have become victim to the commercialism.
- In the business world, the monetary consideration holds supreme value,
while ethical and moral values are crushed at the cost of achieving desired
material gain. In this regard, the temptation of accumulating wealth is so
strong that corrupt and fraudulent practices have become acceptable norms.
With the wider gap between the rich and poor, the sins are bound to occur
at both levels. The elite class has to satisfy their wants and all possible
sinful deeds are committed to achieve them. On the other hand, poor class
is confronted with great difficulties in life are destined to follow wrong
door to meet their desire. The accumulation of wealth has no boundary and
process goes on at much faster speed while it is never realized that this
wealth is temporary.
- The modern society under the influence of western life style completely
disregards the moral values and the evils of single parent hood, liquor,
gays and recently coloning of human beings are the issues, which have led
to the debacle in the world.
- Having said all this, we can say that humanity is inflicting its death by
virtue of self- desired love of materialism and there definitely needs a
remedy to combat the evils of modern society. Islam is a religion that
provides us guidance to adopt righteous path and if the teachings of Islam
are abided by within the code of supreme law, people can emancipate from
the worst kind of evil forces. Islam in general advocates the principles of
equality, humility, self-respect, honesty, charity and dignity etc. which
if applied in day to day life could bring about revolutionary changes in
this mortal world. If we comprehend the teachings of Islam through in-depth
analysis, we would discover a sense of purpose in life and we will derive
mental peace and ecstasy by submission to the will of Allah.
- The Western philosophy of life is meant to satisfy the requirement of flesh
whereas the Islamic ideology is based on the concept of fulfilling the
worldly demands while simultaneously taking care of spiritual needs. Islam
recommends regulation rather than suppression. It allows natural urges such
as love of wealth, fondness and beauty etc. within the guarded course of
limit. That is why the Prophet (SAW) once said, "The best is the middle
course". It is noticeable that world has strayed by staying away from the
middle course, and one can witness the consequences of disobeying the law
of nature and the teachings of the Holy Quran.
- Moreover, the straying from the right path has led to all sorts of mental
depression and psychological problems, which can only be eliminated by
supplication to the Almighty Allah.
- We mumineen are fortunate to have been blessed with the barakat and
sa'adaat under the Sayaa of our ruhani bawaa shafiq Syedna wa Moulana
Mohammad Burhanuddin Saheb (TUS) whose enlightened guidance to abide by the
Sharia'a Muhammadi in this westernized atmosphere, is a reflection of power
of spiritual love and affection. May Allah Subhanau grant our beloved Aqa
Maula (TUS) a long, healthy and prosperous life ta roze qayamat (Ameen).
